Harper Update

She is growing so fast!  And lately she has been learning lots of things.  She is almost house trained (just a few minor accidents that were mostly my fault) and she has learned "sit" and is getting "stay".  She walks nicely on a leash and she is so, so sweet.  Tomorrow she gets her last shots and will be allowed to go to the dog park (which means a tired happy puppy)!

Harper "Beckham"

When we arrived at the house on Friday, there was a soccer ball left by some of the neighborhood kids in the driveway.  Harper immediately adopted it as her own. We took it on the porch and she went completely BONKERS for it! It was so funny!  I got a few shots of her playing with it, but its hard to covey her joy.

Maybe this does it a little?

Or perhaps this??!  She was a total blur!  I wonder if there is a puppy soccer league around here?

After she scored a few goals she took a break.

Porch, Foxgloves and Harper!

The porch is just about finished. It is so lovely!

I started these foxgloves from seed last summer, I was so happy to see them in bloom!

And, this is Harper. She is a 10 week old Labradoodle. I can't belive how sweet and adorable she is, although she is running me ragged with house training. She becomes extra energetic around 8pm every night, its exhausting!

She has the softest fur, and the sweetest little face. I love her dearly!

More Porch Progress, Before and Almost Done

This was the outside of my house before I bought it. It might seem a little unfair that the before images are in black and white but believe me, they look better this way!

This is the house now.  I am truly amazed at how lovely the porch is even in its unfinished state!

Porch Progress

Last weekend, I was admiring just how beautiful the lilacs and the apple tree blossoms look through the window, just imagine when I can enjoy it from the porch. This image gives a little taste of how lovely the porch view will be!  Too bad you can't smell the lilacs from the photo, they are heavenly.

I would never take a bird's nest out of a tree or anywhere where it wasn't causing a problem, but this Robin's nest was built in the rafters on the porch, so it had to be removed. Its truly beautiful, and I'm going to treasure it for as long as it holds together.
